Unmasking the Beast: Hidden Powers Behind the Babylonian System!

beast system faith prophecy revelation Mar 17, 2025

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

If any man have an ear, let him hear.

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Now, this is where things get truly revealing. By examining the Greek words behind the text, we unlock an entirely new layer of meaning. What world leaders come to mind as you read this? What literal timelines have you observed that align with these themes? Remember to go back to the Old Testament, study the ancient prophecies, and seek the discernment of the Holy Spirit as you connect the pieces.

1. And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

  • Beast (Greek: "θῆριον" - thērion, Strong’s G2342): A wild, untamed, dangerous creature, symbolizing a chaotic, rebellious force operating against divine order. This "beast" is the spiritual and political system of Babylon, which seeks to replace the rule of God.

  • Sea (Greek: "θάλασσα" - thalassa, Strong’s G2281): Represents the masses of humanity, the deep unconscious of collective society, often linked to the abyss (abussos, G12).

2. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

  • Dragon (Greek: "δράκων" - drakōn, Strong’s G1404): The old serpent, Satan, who empowers the Beast. The system does not operate on its own but receives its power from the adversary, the deceiver of the nations.

3. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

  • Wound (Greek: "πληγή" - plēgē, Strong’s G4127): This word is also used for plagues, judgments, or divine strikes. It suggests that at some point, the Babylon system appears to fall, only to be resurrected in a new form.

4. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

  • Worship (Greek: "προσκυνέω" - proskuneō, Strong’s G4352): This word means to bow or submit. The Beast System demands allegiance, not just political but spiritual submission.

5-7. These verses describe the beast’s blasphemy and war against the saints. The beast is given authority over "all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."

  • Authority (Greek: "ἐξουσία" - exousia, Strong’s G1849): Not mere power, but a delegated spiritual dominion. The Babylon system thrives on permitted authority, meaning people must yield to it for it to function.

8. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

  • Those who belong to Christ are already outside the jurisdiction of this system.

The Mark of the Beast and Spiritual Bondage

16-18. The mark is received in the right hand or forehead, symbolizing works (hand) and thoughts (mind). It is tied to the number 666.

  • Mark (Greek: "χάραγμα" - charagma, Strong’s G5480): A stamp or etching, indicating ownership and control. This is more than a physical mark—it is a spiritual and economic enslavement.

  • Six hundred threescore and six (Greek: "ἑξακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ἕξ" - hexakosioi hexēkonta hex, Strong’s G5516): The number 6 represents the incompleteness of man. Three sixes emphasize a counterfeit trinity—man exalting himself as god.

Paul’s Warning in Colossians: Freedom from Babylon’s Calendar and Elemental Spirits

Paul warns against being subject to elemental spirits (stoicheia) in Colossians 2:8-23.

Colossians 2:8 – "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments (stoicheia, Strong’s G4747) of the world, and not after Christ."

  • Stoicheia (Greek: "στοιχεῖα", Strong’s G4747): This refers to the fundamental elements, but also to the celestial rulers who were worshipped in ancient astrology and mystery religions. These include the moon cycles, zodiac powers, and planetary influences.

Colossians 2:16-17 – "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."

  • Paul affirms that in Christ, we are no longer subject to the elemental forces that Babylon manipulates, including the astrological cycles and religious calendars that were designed to bind people under celestial authorities.

Colossians 2:20 – "Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments (stoicheia, Strong’s G4747) of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances?"

  • To be dead with Christ means to be outside the Beast System. It no longer has jurisdiction over us!

Conclusion: Living Free from the Beast System

The Babylonian system, as revealed in Revelation 13, is a spiritual and economic construct built on deception and forced allegiance. It is empowered by celestial rulers and dark forces that Paul warns about in Colossians.

But in Christ, we are dead to this system. We are no longer bound by its cycles, its economic control, or its demand for worship.

Practical Application:

  1. Recognize the system for what it is – Babylon is not just a government, it is a spiritual power structure.

  2. Stop honoring false cycles – This includes astrological influences and rituals tied to the elemental spirits.

  3. Walk in true authority – If Christ has set you free, act like it. Stop giving Babylon permission to rule over you.

Final Prophetic Word:
"Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." – Revelation 18:4

In Christ, you are free. Walk in it.
